I created a lyric video for the song Fresh Tattoo by the Mountain Goats using Adobe AfterEffects. As part of the assignment, I wasn't allowed to use anything besides type. Through this project I explored type as image.
Art Direction
The album Jenny from Thebes by the Mountain Goats is an indie folk album that is about “the individual and society.” Inspiration was drawn from the album cover’s Greek aesthetic. Shaking edges of lines and type return to the idea of fresh ink moving through a person’s skin and also emphasize the uncertainty that comes with change in one’s life.
