workaboutInformNYC aims to make information about local government more digestible to New Yorkers by using clear language and solid design principles. When this information is accessible to all, more New Yorkers have the ability to be politically engaged.
For this project, I created a mobile website, two RISO-printed mailers, and two motion graphics pieces to promote the website’s capabilities.

InformNYC is a mobile website that allows New Yorkers to stay engaged with their local government by learning about their representatives, reading about recent bills, and finding local events where they can play a part in improving their community.
The first mailer is about the 2025 Mayoral Election. In the zine readers can find brief overviews of each candidate and a poster with all important dates regarding the election. Readers can also scan a QR code to visit the website, where they can learn more about each candidate in detail.
Creating print material was important to me because people often find tangible material more credible and it tends to be more memorable than information on websites.
The second mailer is about the City of Yes plan that was passed in December of 2024. There is a brief overview of the bill, who was involved in its passing, and the contact information of their representative, who they can call if they have questions. The other side goes over the bill in more detail, particularly focusing on how it would affect New Yorkers in their specific neighborhood.
I also made two motion graphics pieces to advertise the website and show off its features. One is about the app overall and the other focuses on the 2025 Mayoral Election. Watch the videos below to hear my voiceovers.
